Terms of Service
Last updated: July 30, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Noodl app and website, operated by Hugoniot Labs (“Noodl,” “we,” “us”). By using Noodl, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
1. Your account
You’re responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Noodl.
2. Your content
You keep ownership of the recipes, plans, lists, photos, and other content you add to Noodl. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the app for you and your household. You’re responsible for the content you add and for having the right to use it. We will remove content in response to valid intellectual-property complaints; to submit one, email hugoniotlabs@gmail.com.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Noodl — for example, by breaking the law, infringing others’ rights, attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or uploading harmful or unlawful content.
3a. User-Generated Content and Community Standards
Noodl lets you import, create, and share recipes. Some content may appear in a public discovery feed visible to other users. The following standards govern that content. By submitting or sharing content, you agree to them.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content
You agree not to submit, post, or share any content that is objectionable, abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, discriminatory, violent, illegal, or that infringes the rights of others, and not to harass, abuse, or harm other users. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. We may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these standards, at our discretion and without prior notice.
Reporting and blocking
If you encounter content or a user you believe violates these standards, you can report it directly in the app using the report controls on shared content, and you can block a contributor to stop seeing their content. You may also contact us at hugoniotlabs@gmail.com. We review the reports we receive.
Our response to reports
We act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours by removing the offending content and, where warranted, ejecting the responsible user by suspending or terminating their account. Content that receives multiple reports may be removed from the public feed automatically, pending review.
Filtering
We use automated filtering to screen content before it appears in the public feed. No filtering system is perfect, and filtering does not guarantee that all objectionable content is prevented; the reporting and removal process above operates alongside it.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Noodl is free to start. Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
5. Recipes and AI-generated content
Noodl uses automated tools and AI to import, generate, and organize recipes. This content may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always use your own judgment — especially regarding allergens, dietary restrictions, food safety, and cooking temperatures. Noodl is not a substitute for professional, medical, or nutritional advice.
6. Grocery partners and affiliate links
Noodl can send your grocery list to third-party partners (such as Instacart) so you can shop. Those purchases happen on the partner’s own platform and are subject to the partner’s terms, pricing, availability, and privacy policy; we’re not responsible for them. Some of these links may be affiliate links, and Noodl may earn a commission when you shop through them, at no additional cost to you.
7. Third-party trademarks
Store, brand, and product names referenced in Noodl are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification only. Their use does not imply endorsement.
8. Disclaimers
Noodl is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recipe or grocery information will be accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hugoniot Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Noodl.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Noodl will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
11. Termination
We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using Noodl and delete your account at any time.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
